The Yerevan ropeway was built in 1967 by architects Baghdasar Arzumanyan and Hovhannes Margaryan, it was utilised from 1967 to 2004.It provided direct transport from Heratsi Street to Nork (moving about 500 passengers / day, length 504 m). It is considered one of the major modernist structures in the Yerevan Soviet period. One turn of the ropeway took 2-3 minutes. Our suggestion is not changing the modernist look of the ropeway but to develop it both internally and externally. We suggest to add an exhibition hall on the second floor in both stations to provide interesting entertainment for those waiting. By Increasing the number of wagons and by  increasing their size, we tried to provide a larger number of users, as in the intermediate part of the 2 stations, we added 2 stations, where they will be able to stop by going up to Nork or going down to Heratsi. With the proposed project, we have tried to keep the function of the ropeway and the monumental role in the city, solve the transport problem and provide interesting entertainment for the users of the ropeway or for those who just want to see the beautiful view of the city.
